Imagine a Floridian posting about a snowstorm in Philly during January and attributing it to "climate change" instead of it just being some normal January winter type shyt

Thats basically you right now. :skip: But do ya thang
I honestly canā€™t remember having so many thunderstorms last summer breh. Damn sorry šŸ˜…

Buts itā€™s actually true. Iā€™ve read about it before.

ā€œGlobal warming creates conditions more favorable to severe storms. As the planet warms, severe storms of all kinds are likely to deliver even bigger payloads of rain. The reason: Warmer air holds more moisture, which effectively increases a storm's capacity to carry precipitation.ā€

Yep and they've gotten worse over the years

Every time I visit back home in the southeast that thunder is cracking like never before, shaking the whole crib, even starting to get tornadoes more often which wasn't the case growing up :picard:

In some other timeline we voted Al Gore to office instead of Bush and took climate change way more seriously :wow:
Republicans are completely worthless. Their refusal to take human caused climate change seriously is fukking everything up. Shows how their voters cut off their noses to spite their faces because they are typically the ones that love being in nature and doing outdoorsy work. fukking idiots

Between 1959 and 2004, Michigan had 815 people killed or hurt by lightning. North Carolina, the second-most area, eked that figure out at 818 people. In Florida, that number was 2,117 people. Over 400 of the victims died.

This is mainly because Florida is a large, warm landmass surrounded by water, making it easier for storms to develop.
