Obviously they need to blow up this roster and start over, but I'm not sure they have people that other teams would want

You funny :pachaha:

No team is on the right track without a top 5 player at their position. You are a first round exit waiting to happen.

Hinke was always right

It literally took OKC ten plus seasons to get back to contending post KD

Sometimes you should just take the successful business model of 50 wins a year

It only took 10 years, thats light. The Grizzlies have never contended in 30 years. Destroy and Rebuild. Nasir Jones

OKC HAD THE 1 SEED IN 2024
(Only missed the playoffs
3 times during that stretch)

Memphis does not have a headstart like some of the other franchises. By that I mean Memphis used to lose all the time and they don't have stars from the past who won championship for their franchise who could mentor the guys. They never built a strong winning culture, their fans are mostly used to losing. So when you are young guy playing for such a team...you don't sense the urge of trying to win every game. They don't have a superstar on their team, they don't have a personnel who won championships before.

Look at team like Miami, they hired Pat Riley, they signed Shaq, they signed numerous veterans, they drafted Wade and they finally won their first championship.

OKC for example, had 3 future MVP's on their team, made the finals once where they lost pretty quickly and never made it back. Dismantled their team, tried that Westbrook and Paul George pairing thinking they would become title contenders again, didn't happen obviously, then went to rebuild and now they have a championship contender team again. Let's see how they do this time, did Sam Presti learn from this mistakes and finally built a team that's gonna win championship.

It's not easy to win a first championship for a franchise that does not have a rich history of stars who played for them.
