Is a radar detector even useful in 2025(it's actually 2017 IYKYK) and if so which is the best to get?

Was thing of getting maybe a Peugeot but I don’t know the shipping fees and import taxes and shyt cause of Trump’s BS. Thought about a BMW but idk cause I don’t even know where to start with Benzs. Sold my classic Porsche a couple years ago and I regret that like a MF
