First off ten dollars is nothing to me so miss me with the "this broke ass"

What I'm asking is back in the day it was ten bucks but you got album artwork, a physical copy, and the ten bucks also had to cover manufacturing and distribution.

Now all anyone has to do is record the shyt, put it in an email, and send that shyt to apple. They don't even have to waste gas driving this shyt over to the distributor. I'm all for artist eating but how is this price justified.

If I'm wrong school me on how an mp3 album is worth as much as the physical copy.

Yeah I'd say it's too much especially when you consider how easy it is to just download the album for free. It should be like $5 max.

But I haven't bought an album in like 7 years so doesn't matter to me :manny:

perfect price, why not pay 10 for a album?

I don't mind ten for an album but before you got an album cover, the case, the physical disc, and whatever cool shyt they'd include in their albums. Before they HAD to charge ten to make a profit.

Nowadays a lot of middle men have been cut out. Why are we paying like there's still ten hands out when it's the labels and apple basically.

If you told me artist get paid the extra dough that is being made I'd be down for it but I know record labels are trying to rape as hard as ever.

I don't want artist to not get paid. I'm all for supporting artist (I buy the physical copies) want I'm trying to figure out is how 10.00 is justified for just music file.

Here's a justification. You can't put 24 bit stuff on a regular cd so that's worth it if you have the right set up to play it properly

If they upgraded ipods to play 24-bit audio Id be all over downloadable albums

10 dollars is too much

if an artists is seeing 1-2 dollars out of that 10, where is the rest going if theyre not physically distributing anything?
