I'm thinking about taking one of these courses to make side money but is it worth the $1500 they are asking for for a 5 day course? anyone ever take these?

You can really learn how to do it yourself....Soldering components is a bytch though, but connectors are simple, which is probably what youll be encountering most of the time.
There's money to be made here cuz we paying like 100 just to fix our screens

Probably could have ordered parts and fixed it myself but I couldnt afford to wait a week. Definitely lots of $$$ to be made fixing smartphones
Was tablets/ipads also included as part of the course? if so I would drop the $1500 seems worth it. You are only going to get so much from a Youtube vid and you might have questions not covered by the vid. Granted you could Google it but sometimes the classroom is better for things like this. It's not like modding a PS3 or XBOX there are smaller issues that cold go wrong that aren't that common.

Yeah, that is alot, though especially for it only being 5 days. A+ certification is about $600 on average so it is a little steep in comparison. What exactly is included with the course would be my first question actually my first question would be is the $1500 all upfront.
Still to get this certification and possibly receive contract work from a cellular company to repair smartphones at home would be a nice little hustle.
