IOS 14 beta/update

Has anyone installed the IOS 14 beta.

I have to say...I like it.

Not radical changes but probably enough to make me hold on to my 6S Plus another year....I think.

I like the Picture in Picture, customizable widgets, App Library, and audible text. The translate app is cool too.

I am not an android hater..as I know they had these things in some form...good to see them on IOS.

Anyone else try the beta? Thoughts?

You named a lot big changes already so I’ll name some small ones:

being able to search emojis is cool.

type status now shows up in messages page and not just in the thread itself.

You can mention ppl in a group thread now. You can also do inline replies.

Viewing your history in safari no longer takes up the entire screen.

You can now assign a gesture to double and triple tap the back of the phone.

Siri no longer takes up the entire screen.

biggest qol change is non invasive phone calls now.

Yeah I got my feelings hurt going from either 11 to 12 or 12 to 13

Is it stable enough to be a daily driver?

ive had it since Tuesday afternoon and no crashes so far. I’m actually shocked. I see some jitter when scrolling every now and then and one of my banking apps doesn’t work but over all, pretty smooth.

Yeah it’s been pretty stable but then I am sure to stumble on something sooner than later. I like it. It’s going to be my daily driver indeed. I don’t have the tap feature but then again I am on an older phone. Surprisingly most of the new features do work though.

You mean adding different widget skins? If so about time, they still need the ability for themes and make ringtones/notifications from songs in ur music library
