The series is very loosely based on the classic Chinese tale “Journey to the West.” In a land controlled by feudal barons, the series tells the story of a ruthless, well-trained warrior named Sunny (Wu) and a young boy who embark on a journey across a dangerous land to find enlightenment.

The show will be 6 episodes, but the production value looks high. Ol dude from The Equalizer seems like the big bad in this and his scenes talking to his workers gave me a Django Unchained vibe just with the Southern aspect.

this Badlands shyt looks ok i'll reserve judgment until i see a whole episode but the choreography doesn't look too impressive from the bits i saw.

:ehh:

What year is this suppose to take place? I see Sunny riding a motorcycle and an early 20's Buick. Yet they're dressed like it's The Musketeers?
