I think it's more likely we see Part II split over multiple seasons

Yeah, they said a while ago that Part II is going to be split over multiple seasons. Assuming the they keep with seasons every other year, the earliest they'd be working on anything beyond that story for the show is about 2028. But at that point, I wouldn't be surprised to see that they take a break for a bit. Even if Naughty Dog has gone back to having two teams working on projects, and they repurpose story elements and assets from the cancelled Factions game, 2027 or 2028 is probably the earliest that game come out. I can't see them releasing a game, and then having a TV adaptation out about a year or so later.

Also the main actress is playing Nora in season 2 of The Last Of Us

ND has enough of a fan base that they will be fine but these narratives very much do effect sales and even creative decisions in making games.

ND is insulated by their own prior success and sonys backing so they can take the “risk” of putting big money behind a character like this.

Lots of other studios don’t have that luxury.

It'll be fine. People looking too deep into it. ND is not some rando B tier studio making a game like this. ND survived offing Joel and making a lesbian character the main character in part 2 and the villain Abby being a cocky ass nikka playable right after.

Narratives or not, the overall game design, art direction, performance and story will take center over someone scrunching their face at a bald Dj Envy complexioned PAABG. Once they show the gameplay in real time all the talking gonna cease.

I think ultimately it really just comes down to the quality of the game. Right wing idiots have bytched about plenty of games, but in general, if the game's actually good, it's still doing numbers most likely.
