About how long does it take for them to heal, and what's the best way to go about it? I hurt mine back in like July sometime. Haven't really been to the gym since then, but I haven't actually been able to heal it like I should due to having physical labor at work. Since I'm no longer working at the job, I'm thinking now I can take some time for it to heal. My workouts are very limited right now, and the only thing I've really been able to do for chest are push ups. It doesn't hurt that bad, but it hurts a little at certain angles...

Don't push it.

I had something about 3 years ago from benching. It only hurt when I benched or did pec flys. So for a good 3 or so months I didn't do either. Been mostly good since.

A sprain is one thing but if you keep pushing it becomes a tear, which is what you don't want. A couple months lost is nothing compared to a lifetime injury

I have a bone spur and probably need surgery since it leads to me having tendonitis whenever I do a press above a 45° degree angle.

So incline press is a no go but I found an exercise that can work my upper chest without it. I won't be doing overhead press until I get surgery.

To answer your question you have to test out which angles disturb it. And also get some xrays to know what you are dealing with.

Not sure if you can get a doctor to look at it, like orthopaedic surgeon. If you have a torn rotator cuff, you want to fix it before it worsens.

Injured mine playing baseball back in high school. Took about 4 months for me to feel right pitching again.

Had lots of Physio and chiropractic sessions though. Get yourself an initial assessment for your body and tailor your body to the excercises they tell you.

I fukked up my rotator cuff doing side planks .

Op if your shoulder is still inflamed then use ice everyday and dont do upper body until the pain stops.

I do my bench press on the floor now with a close grip. This keeps my arms from rotating to far back.
Hope that helps

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the only way to fix an impingement issue is w surgery.

Signed- breh who had both shoulders scoped within the last 4 years because of impingement issues

Also, it might not be the rotator cuff, but a different part of the shoulder that is injured. I don't do incline bench and haven't for decades. It feels really funny, especially when I start going up in resistance.
I only can do flat bench, military bench, and decline bench.

injured my rotator cuff 4 months ago and it's still lingering:mjcry:

went back to the gym about a month ago and can lift a little but can't do any shoulder exercises. i might just take another month off from lifting and do only cardio and core stuff.

Facts injured mine about 2 months ago. It's still lingering as well. When I bench I feel it. I'm still benching tho.

Hard headed and stubborn.. Rest for what so the small gains can go away.. tuh:hhh:

When I stop benching I look like a cardinal foh.
