in this modern tech age unless we get replaced by robots in the near future.

There's just too much influx of gadgets, apps, accessories, social media, human beings can't handle all this sensory overload.

I predict a bunch of burn outs and severe cases especially with these new crops of kids born after 9-11, this problem will be classified as a new disease or something.

They won't be able to handle all the upcoming stress... Watch this space.

The good thing right now though is that social media is dying real fast and is only popping when there's a major event going on.

If "burnouts" is what you're predicting will happen, then what exactly is the problem here?

There will come a time when we lose interest in being connected 24/7, or how we stay now anyway.

We'll go back to simpler times.

I think you may be looking at it the wrong way.
If anything, technology is probably making people more de-sensitized and tranquil.

Sure, there's a lot of stimulation. But it also keeps people amused...to the point that they really aren't doing much else.

Just consider how much time some people spend on The Coli.
They probably planned to go out for a walk and coffee at Starbucks last Sunday. Then logged into The Coli and by the time they got up to use the bathroom, 60 Minutes was on.

just wait until bio-implants allow people to be online without an external device like a phone, laptop, desktop or tablet.
we will live to see the day when people are not only online but online is IN them.

that's gonna be scary...kids walking around zonked out with porn playing non stop in their brain in full HD.
