For starters, I said 12 instead of 10 because I want you to reserve two spots on each list for female wrestlers.

This isn't necessarily who is selling the most merch or the most tickets. When you consider the wrestler who gets a spot on your list please balance your consideration by: how popular they are in the mainstream, how popular do you think they can one day become, and also if you like them personally as a wrestler.

Some rules:

-For AEW, it's fine to include a wrestler from their YouTube shows that may not necessarily be the best yet, but you can see getting there one day.

-For WWE, you of course will consider NXT UK talent as well.

-You can't put Daniel Bryan (or Bryan
Danielson) on your AEW list because he's not there yet, and we're not sure if he'll ever get there (card is subject to change). You can't put him on your WWE list either though.

-You can't put Goldberg or Cena on your list, because they are truly just part-timers now. You can put Brock Lesnar on your list since he's here now and will be around for at least a few more months it seems. You can obviously put Edge on your list as well since he's been around long enough during this last year.

-You can put a wrestler that's injured or hasn't been seen in a while, as long as there aren't any rumors that they've been fired (for ex. Xia Li, Humberto Carrillo, Aliyah, Sonny Kiss?, Bayley, etc.). You can put Thunderosa on your AEW list

-Technically, you can put Paul Wight on your list because he's about to be in in-ring action, but you can't put Mark Henry or Chavo on your list because there's no indication yet that they'll be fighting anytime soon.

I'm just trying to see who the Wrestling Gods would pick if given a choice of the 12 best from WWE or the 12 best from AEW.

I respect these lists. When I initially thought of this question last week, I was also for some reason going to exclude Sting, but I guess by my criteria, Sting is okay to make the lists. Sting, despite his current status, does add a lot of value to AEW.

@SpacelySprockets I know I made things difficult by only allowing for 12 spots, but it's interesting to see that you don't have anyone that young on the WWE roster with the exception of maybe Bianca (Sasha is young too, but she's already been established for so long now that it doesn't feel like it).

I was surprised to see Jeff Hardy's name there. I know that he's a guy that feels like he's always "over with the fans" regardless of when he shows up or not, but admittedly I wasn't expecting to see anyone mention him.

Back in the old days, all the main stars had already built up their craft over the years on the territories. I see that, with the exception of probably Bianca, everyone on your list has already built up their craft over the years.

@Metal Face I'm happy that both of you mentioned MJF and that both of you also mentioned Christian for the AEW side. I was never the biggest Christian fan, but I am impressed with the work he's been doing recently.

It's interesting that you both also mentioned Edge on the WWE side. When he came back with his old-ass face, I was thinking: "oh great, another old-timer coming in", but he's been doing really good work, especially as late so I would have put him on my list too.

If I would have allowed for tag teams to be counted as one slot, would any of you have put the Young Bucks?

Another observation, as boring as people say that Randy Orton has been over the years (and it was really only starting last year that he started to receive props again), I am intrigued by both of you putting him on your list.

Of the lists that you've created, if you could only have one, and the other one ceased to exist, which would you choose?
