not how much u make its how much you save and stash away..you can live and splurge on 200k with serious expenses and end up with 1k in the bank at the end of the year..you are still broke, or live modest within means off 45k and have 5-10k saved up, putting yourself in a better position than the man who doesnt save.

Back in college, there was a executive from Disney who came and spoke to our class. He told us our generation would need $10 million at retirement age to live as we pleased. Work is a life sentence for most people, find something you enjoy.

How about you quote the whole thing so people understand my reason for this statement :beli:

It's an idiotic statement, period.

I get that it's your opinion and you're entitled to it, but there's a lot of real poverty in the world breh. I don't see how you can consider someone making 90k a year, living in a 2200 sq ft house with a pool and eating 3 meals a day easily, poor. Not in any sense of the word.

depends where you live first of all

i live in a small city, cheap cost of living generally, make 32k a year and live pretty well.

married but no kids. i have nice electronics, new car, good furniture and not tons of debt. if i was making 100k here id be livin in a mansion.

a person in NYC or LA making less than 100K is probably struggling, but not everywhere :pachaha:

Poverty is relative and yeah I'd say anybody not making at least 250,000 a year isn't rich...I wouldn't say poor, but u aren't "balling" by any means until u clocking in 250K annually....and saving little chunks of money is what they tell poor people to do to make themselves feel productive....increasing your income is how u build wealth

Read the original post. To me you're either rich or poor. from there we can add other qualifiers like very and extremely and so on

There are different levels of poverty. Those who cant afford life's necessities outright are technically poor to me. Things like a home, a car, healthcare and education is what i am talking about. The fact that i NEED a bank to finance these things lets me know that I'm poor :manny:
