'Daddy, I made a mistake': Father of rookie NYPD cop who gave her lieutenant raunchy lap dance at Christmas party says she's been 'crying and crying' and his wife lashes out
  • Lt. Nick McGarry has been reassigned while the NYPD investigates the incident
  • The identity of the rookie female officer who danced on him is unknown
  • Rookie's father said his daughter was 'crying' over the ordeal, New York Post said
  • He also said he planned to sue McGarry over the incident, the Post said
  • She wore a miniskirt and thigh-high boots as she gyrated on his lap Thursday
  • The incident appears to have taken place at a holiday party for the 44th Precinct
  • McGarry is married and is living with his wife and kids in the suburbs
  • His wife, Melissa McGarry, angrily confronted a reporter near their home
  • 'F*** you!' she told the reporter outside her house in New Windsor, New York
The father of the rookie New York City police officer who was filmed giving a lap dance to her married lieutenant during a raunchy Christmas party says his daughter has been crying over the ordeal and that he plans on suing.

The angry dad made the comments on the same day that Lieutenant Nick McGarry's wife furiously confronted a New York Post reporter who approached the couple for comment outside their home in Orange County, New York, about 70 miles north of Manhattan.

The unnamed rookie's father told the Post on Monday that his daughter told him: 'Daddy, I made some mistake. I'm very embarrassed about what I did. I embarrassed you and my family.'

The father told the Post that his daughter is 'frustrated' over the incident.

'She cried and cried,' he said. 'She is young. She doesn't know how but he is married, the lieutenant. He should know better.

'I am going to sue them.'

Meanwhile, there was further drama when the lieutenant and and his wife were approached by a reporter outside their home in Orange County, New York.

'F*** you!' Melissa McGarry told the Post reporter and a photographer outside the couple's home in New Windsor as she was restrained by her husband.

'It's not worth it, get back in the car,' the lieutenant told his fuming wife as she continued her rant.

The whole hiring process for cops needs to be revamped obviously, just too many idiots are in highly important positions, not sure if they need to raise the education requirements but I know way too many idiots from high school that eventually became cops.

This is why management is advised not to socialize too much with subordinates
Lieutenant just needs an HR training.

Sidenote: This is why nobody wilds out anymore because everyone is paparazzi now
