A big reason why he bought it was the tape library. But I thought he was going to turn ROH into a developmental organization to put all these younger guys / disgruntled talent complaining they aren't on TV enough. Figured they'd get a minor TV or streaming deal before a re-launch. That would've been the sensible thing to do. I have no idea what he's trying to do with it though

Tony Khan buying ROH reminds me of Jim Crockett Promotions buying UWF (Mid-South). Time will tell if it has the same negative effect. He coulda had all the ROH workers he wanted, I don't think he needed to buy the promotion, even with the tape library, if the price was the rumored $40 million.

Tony bought ROH just to flex and earn brownie points from the Indie fans. That’s what it’s starting to look like for me.

The ROH as it once known is dead so this would be an opportunity for him to spread the roster out, giving guys/girls more opportunities to wrestle that can’t get on AEW TV.
