In all the arguments I have heard about Jay and Nas...

the 1 that I absolutely don't understand is when Nas fans say that Nas is better technically than Jay.

Better poet? Absolutely!
Better storyteller...yep!

Better flow? NO
Better wordplay? NO
Better rhyme schemes? Nah

Well, Nas never really fell off lyrically, he just had a crappy ear for beats at times. Jay on the other hand has been falling off in terms of lyrical ability over the years. In terms of ability the current Nas is still the same one that wrote Illmatic, maybe even better.

It's just Jay's flow (That isn't even that good anymore) and mic presence/charisma that keeps him afloat.
