In 1998, Kevin Nash was the second biggest face in the wrestling business

I would say that Steve Austin was just ahead of Big Kev.

Rock was a heel for most of 1998 and when he made a brief face turn towards the end of the year, he wasnt as big as Nash. Sorry Rock fans :to:

Which brings me to Goldberg. I was watching their match at Starrcade 98 today and it was pretty obvious that the crowd were more behind Nash and wanted him to win. And the crowd reaction after he won was something else :wow:

You could argue that Sting lost his spark when he joined Wolfpack. He was playing second fiddle to Nash who was the fukin Wolfpack.

And dont even get me started on how crazy that 'Big Sexy' persona was :dwillhuh:

This is how I see it

1) Austin
2) Nash
3) Greenberg

Indeed bruh

They like to think that the undefeated streak was still hot at that point. The truth is fans became tired of Goldberg quick.

Bishoff over stretched it. It was cool when he was squashing Hugh Morris and Jerry and even when he started beating some main event cats but nobody wants a wrestler who can't eventually be defeated.

depends on the timeline. I don't know that Nash was more popular than Goldberg mid 98. but by late 98 people might have been ready for him to lose.

Im glad people have started to realise this. Kevin Nash was right to book himself to end the streak. The crowd wanted it to happen. If it was upto Goldberg, his undeserved streak would have never ended.

Who the fuk needs an undefeated streak to get over? :what:
