IMO Eddie Murphy has a few movies that could work as a Netflix series

Or any other streaming service I guess.

These films wouldn't really have to a comedy either. It could just be funny every now and then like Breaking Bad and Fargo.

Harlem Nights - A prequel following Ray's rise to power and seeing Quick grow up to be a gangster.
Or picking up the story 10 years after the orignal with Ray/Quick returning to Harlem.

Boomerang - Nah not whatever that is on BET (Im assuming its based off the movie). Make a show with a legit budget and cast.

Vampire in Brooklyn - Probably the best one for a streaming show. Following Max navigating New York to find the only other possible vampire. Watching him transform into other characters. Seeing Julius slowly fall apart as a ghoul. This would be great

Life - Getting to see Ray and Claude in the years that weren't shown.

All could be piff.

I always felt there was more to explore with those movies. There seems to be a reboot for everything these days. However, I think these would turn out very well as a tv series.

He tried to do one on CBS a few years ago with Brandon T Jackson as his son but it didn’t get picked up
Never got the idea of a Beverly Hills Cop tv show. The only thing separated from other films of that era was Eddie. Hard to replicate that.

The other movies had so much black excellence, stories and possible plot lines. Just more interesting ideas that would make for a TV show.
