Yeah I was wrong. I got bored and looked at the NBA rulebook and apparently it's not:

If a player, with the ball in his possession, raises his pivot foot off the floor, he must pass or shoot before his pivot foot returns to the floor. If he drops the ball while in the air, he may not be the first to touch the ball.

He pivoted with his left and jumped off w/ his right, and shot it before his pivot came back on the floor. I didn't see anything mentioning the non-pivot foot, so no travel based on the rule.
