:what:
who the fukk is this guy's agent?

i don't know but mickey fukked up by losin' interest in actin' and not continuin' to pursue actin'. he went from bein' extremely picky bout what movie to be to then needin' to be in almost any movie so that he could continue to pay for his house and motorcycle collection

a lot of directors have said he was hard to work with because he came to the sets with an entourage of people, he use to hang with the hell's angels for one :whoa:

He was always on some other shyt when it comes to film roles and he still is to this day.. Look at the movies he did in the late 80's to early/mid 90's... a bunch of mediocre or flat out shytty ass movies in between the few memorable roles he took on. He should be AT LEAST as respected as Sean Penn is... who didn't have the screen presence or charisma he had (I thought he should have gotten the Oscar for The Wrestler over Penn as well...) He has too much of an ego...

He builds himself up with great performances and he burns bridges by dissing everyone and takes on the shyttiest movies ever. Sean Penn does the same thing... minus all of the disses. He does a great performance and then does a ton of mediocre shytty movies in between.. but he doesn't talk shyt about people in Hollywood and so people still want to work with him.

yeah. i'm anxious to see his his next movie, ashby. he says "it's probably the best performance i ever gave" :ohhh:

(speaks on it at the 3:07 mark)

it would be cool to see him and francis ford coppola link back up and do another movie together (they first worked together on rumble fish in 83'). remember once he had retired and did boxin' for a few years, coppola looked out for him and put him in the rainmaker. he did a great job in this movie, it's a shame that the role wasn't bigger

Mickey Rourke does what he wants, and somehow along the way ended up being a great actor, a professional boxer managed by an Hell's Angel and rapping on a David Bowie song. I can't really find any fault in that.

he's easily my favorite actor who's still active :wow:

but yeah, he does what he wants on his own terms. that's not to say that he hasn't had to pay some dues after he burned a lot of bridges it took him along time to get back to where he is today. he's had a very interestin' career quite unlike any other actor, given the retirement from actin' to then boxin and then his climb back up the ladder to actin. in the midst of the actin', rollin' with hell's angels and then recordin' a song with muthafukkin' david bowie. like who does that?! :damn:

:wow:
