Tony D'Amato
It's all about the inches

He's great.![]()
Start from Operation Doomsday and go forward from there. Don't listen to people who tell you to start from Madvillainy. That's a great album, but a weird entry point.
He was not really "from" the UK though. Yes, technically he was born there, but he came to NY as a child and knew nothing about Britain. He was a New Yorker to the core.Ok, these sound cool. I can't believe this dude is from the uk![]()
Yeah, I find myself pretty much only going back to Operation Doomsday nowadays. I still love DOOM, but OD is the only album that feels like it has any kind of maturity to it.He’s good but is the type of underground rap I outgrew once I turned like 17. MM...Food and Madvillainy are his best projects
Doom doesn't Rap like underground rappers tho. He’s good but is the type of underground rap I outgrew once I turned like 17. MM...Food and Madvillainy are his best projects
I wouldn’t really describe Doom as street but you can be street and underground like Roc Marci for example. Some of Doom’s references were street but most were obscure. His lo-fi sound and his niche fan base is mainly what makes him underground in my opinionDoom doesn't Rap like underground rappers tho.
His lyrics were very street and pop culture oriented not lyrical miracle
