I'm from Dover.
NH is an odd little state. We are the exact opposite of Mass when it comes to laws, taxes and regulation, but were not a Red state either, hence the swing.
Most people have a reasonable amount of common sense when it comes to this stuff. Like with the Governor race, John Lynch was a 8 year, successful, popular moderate democrat and the republican nominee was all about 'changing course' from what Lynch did. People saw right through that, because NH weathered this entire economic storm like nothing.
Sheit, we've been like 5% unemployment for years.
However, the state is still 70% trees and we have plenty of conservatives too.
Either way, the state made the right call across the ticket I believe and ended up with a historically open minded result.
