while cacs would celebrate in the death and destruction of black people, i actually feel sad for what is happening to white people in ukraine.... it is disheartening to hear the horror stories of death and destruction there, but i'm knowing that if this was in africa instead of ukraine, those people would sleep good and wouldn't think twice about it.... nonetheless, may this conflict end quickly and the pain and suffering be minimal....
I dont think the feeling is universal among either us or them. There is no need to place special significance on your empathy or in the apathy of others.
For instance there are plenty of cacs who were heart broken about the genocide and war in Darfur; but at the same way time there were cacs in Alabama who couldnt give a damn. Similarly, while you feel empathy for the ukranians as a balck person; i can show you millions of black people in baltimore, chicago, kinshasa, or kingston who could not give a damn.
Hell, there were nigerian posters going crazy yesterday on twitter taking pride in being far away from the Ukraine conflict and hoping cacs massacred themselves.
All of this is just a product of human diversity , and it is not tied to race. Im certain that there is a normal distribution of this empathy among all ethnic groups. There is no need to feel mad about it.
