to make beats right away? a DAW, prolly like fruity loops.

if you wanna make boom bap shyt with samples, maybe an MPC and a record player and recording software on your computer

you can also sample and chop samples in fruity loops too, but if you have 0 experience in making beats or music, the learning curve on either is gonna be steep

also, plan on all your beats sucking balls for like, the first coupla years

As far as the drum machine/sampler, I recommend the Maschine

Presonus make a good interface
You can get a 4 or 6 Mackie or Yahama mixer
Rokit makes good monitors
Drum Brokers is a site with solid software with decent drum kits

Thats a good start

Also finding a good DAW like Ableton Logic, Reason of FL Studio

Im just getting started myself so there's a lot to cop

i got a m audio mini controller the guy at guitar center said since im a beginner start out with this
and i got me a new gaming computer type of desktop so im headed in the right directon
