I'm looking for a tablet...what do I get?

Here's what I want to do with it: browse internet, check email, watch movies.

I won't do this much but just occassional: Skype (I have nieces and nephews that live in different states). Take pictures.

I don't want to break the bank so the cheaper the better, but I don't want to have to buy another one in three years either. I thought about the nexus but it doesn't have a memory card slot or back camera.

Drop some ideas on what I should get and where I should get it.

I visit my folks the week of thanksgiving...I want to have one by then.

Get a refurb Ipad 2 for like 300

Has everything you need and will be supported for the next few years unlike anything android.

Even has a back camera if thats what you need

As far as taking pics with a tablet. I have a very basic phone, prepaid no camera. I just don't use phones that much so I've never gotten anything extravagant.

What's a good option for, pretty much, just watching movies I've acquired (can't stream over the Pacific)?

I ain't tryna convert files either... needs to just play them ( mostly mkv's and avi's).

Other basic functions and browsing is cool, but easy video watching and long battery life are paramount.
