I'm listening to Nothing Was the Same and the cohesion is literally insane.

If you were a certain age when this was out, it was a major moment for mid 20's. I was 26.

All the girls loved Hold On Were Going Home, lots of late club nights and early mornings with this as a background. Lots of people in that age range, not just my friends were partying and clubbing hard, the YOLO era. Lot of people I know watched their first serious relationships begin and end in that era.

The fall and winter of 2013 with this album were pretty iconic. It was the perfect soundtrack for where everyone was in their lives.

This is partially because of Drake's talent, and partly because this was the beginning of social media music, where music was refracted through social media and became like overnight memes. Or lyrics tweeted out.

But the music itself was special. The production was masterful.

These are classics of their era. He still makes good music, but this was like an extension of the 00's, they were real albums. Albums don't sound like this anymore. They lost a certain feeling.
