Anyone ever work with these type workers? They are big time union. The position they want me for is to be a manager of these workers. They work the docks unloading ships. To my Jersey cats, if you ever look over by Newark airport and see them big cranes then it's over there. These workers make upwards of $450, 000 a year which is more than I'll be making. Also I was told the mob is heavily involved with these workers and the docks. I made it to the third round of the interview process where they will be taking me on a tour of this huge ass mini city I'll be responsible for. This is a big change in career, change in industry and my certs won't be of no use here :troll: The biggest thing I got going for me is that I know how to manage people and coach and build teams to do a job. What y'all think?

I'm very surprised they aren't trying to promote from within...
Good luck to you though.
They got workers making bookoo dollars and making them a management is a big ass pay cut. Also the managers burn out quick and it's a high turn over rate. If you aint built for it you won't last on the docks.

No I definitely get that, still a.northeast union job? Generally gonna go to a friend of a friend or someone's nephew or wife's cousin.
Obviously a great sign that you're so far along into the interview process.

Make the money
Get in with the mob
stay above water
If you don't know much about what they do...don't try to "tell" them how to do it :whoa: just let them cook
This what my folks around me been telling me which is not to go in trying to change shyt but find out who really knows what going on and work with them. So basically I'm gonna be a puppet which I don't know if I can do because I ain't a pushover. :lupe: I need to make it a win win situation

Who knows who you really are. It's all inconsequential. You lie about everything. Banging five thousand hoes or whatever.

You're not a puppet if you let them cook and do their own thing...

A puppet is someone who does someone else's bidding...

If you have the agenda of "I'm going to stay out of the way...let them do their thing" then you'll be fine. I mean this in a good way... remove your ego from the situation and if you get the gig then come in like "you guys are the professionals...I'm just here to support you" and get out of the way it'll be the best gig of your life.

:salute: good luck on getting it homie
