I'm at the beach...so let's rate and discuss JAWS.

I was 5 when I saw this film for the first time. After I saw it I was afraid to get in the bath tub because I thought the shark was going to get me. As the years went on, I got more into the film and it's a miracle that this movie got made. Roy Scheider and Richard Dreyfuss delivered great performances, but the real scene stealer went to Robert Shaw. "$10,000 for me, by myself. For that you get the head...the tail...the whole damn thing." This movie is a classic.

top 3 flick ever. groundbreaking in every way. also, yea it had a long lasting impression on me. im still shook of the water tho not as much (great white sitings in jersey, jaws is based on the jersey shore attacks..no beach this year!)

To me its Spielberg's best. Classic in every way. You cannot duplicate the success of this flick because it was done so perfect the first time.


The scene where Shaw is eaten is probably top 5 death scene of all time.

Incredible movie, the OG blockbuster and arguably still the benchmark

So many monster movies use Spielberg's technique of hiding the monster and building the tension. I don't blame them for it though, its brilliant.

Jaws is a brilliant bit of movie making.
I pray to Yahweh every night that some studio doesn't get the bright idea to b*stardize it's perfection by putting out a re-make.

It's cool watching Quint and Hooper go at each other knowing Shaw and Dreyfuss legit hated each other. After they filmed the drinking scene, they apparently became friends.
