Im a fan of NY rap.. but did the sound fall off because

Now that budgets are low and the samples eat budgets up.

look at Erik Sermon. beats are bland as fukk without that sample element. We can go down the list...

A lot new york producers still sample, even Lex Luger and southside sizzle are staring to sample more, even that ASAP Ty beats had a video of him digging through crates looking for shyt to sample.

For me east coast music will always be the best but i dunno if sampling was the problem. someone even posted a video on here of these guys from Brooklyn rapping like they from Atlanta shyts twisted dunny word is bond.

Harry Fruad and Lex Luger im sure yes, im sure even southside had a bonus track on watch the throne, hell even alchemist is releasing stuff with heavy samples, did he not release an album with all russian samples.

i get what you mean tho, a lot of albums would have loads of samples even on one track like mobb deep etc etc
