In this thread I want you to list the most memorable or effective introduction of an artist to the Hip Hop World. List the assist (the artist that introduced them). List your opinion of the assist. List the line that made you go and you knew this artist was here to stay. Do NOT think on this for more than 30 seconds....name the first ones that come to mind.
Mine are...
Nas (Live At The BBQ)
AZ (Life's A bytch)
Snoop (Nuthin' But A G Thang) (I actually was introduced to him on Deep Cover but I dont believe people really knew who he was officially until G Thang)

Mine are...
Nas (Live At The BBQ)
- Assist - Large Professor (Main Source)
- "What I Thought About The Assist" - Where the hell did Large Professor find this kid?
- Line that made me go - "when I was 12, I went to hell for snuffin Jesus" (uhhh...nuff said)
AZ (Life's A bytch)
- Assist - Nas
- "What I Thought About The Assist" - I have never heard of this kid but he must be good to be the only vocal feature on Illmatic. Nas co-signing this dude must mean he is a future star. Nas put a lot of thought into rocking on a track with this cat.
- Line that made me go - "Vizualizing the realism of life and actuality, f**k who's the baddest a person's status depends on salary" It was AZ's first line on a major rap record and the genesis to a great career.
Snoop (Nuthin' But A G Thang) (I actually was introduced to him on Deep Cover but I dont believe people really knew who he was officially until G Thang)
- Assist - Dre
- "What I Thought About The Assist" - Dre is a genius. Cube proved what he could do once he left Ruthless, now Dre is about to build an empire at Death Row.
- Line that made me go - "Gimme the microphone first so I can bust like a bubble, Compton and Long Beach together? Now you know you in trouble!" Long Beach? Oh hell....the West is about to rise.
