These fools are kinda sneaky.

For several years I've had like 3-4 credit cards open and all were through BOA.

Everytime you open one or get a new one, they hve a different payment date. So each card might be payable on the 1st, 8th, 19th, etc. Too much to keep up with and sometimes it seemed like they would randomly change even those dates by a day or two. I'd log on to their site to pay one card, and then see I had a payment due that day on another one, and I'd be like :wtf:

So one day last year, they tried to get me for a late fee when I went online to pay and apparently they were having site issues. The payment due date on the site said one thing, and then my statement said something else. A few days later, I get an email saying I had a late fee. I was like :rudy:

So I called them upset, and they'r like, "oh, yeah, well....we were having problems with our site for a while and alot of other people had this same issue." I sittin there like :what: so y'all are just gonna charge ppl late fees(b/c of ur own error) unless they call and have them cancelled?

Anyway, I basically told him I wanted ALL my CC's set up for payment on the same date, or else. So he set it up, and I paid down the other cards and just operate off one now. Dirty b*stards.

I dont have time, nor the remembrance to keep checking up on 4 different payment dates that seem to fluctuate, amongst the other bills other things in life I have going on. I really believe they do that just to get a bunch of people for late fees, and I know for a fact it works.

Seems like its your fault though. You've got 4 credit cards with one bank you should have made the request from the beginning

since I started working Ive been with a credit union and have never had a reason to complain

I have it set up so they deduct the minimum from my checking on the due date to pay the credit card in case I somehow forget to pay it

and if I didnt have money for one month or 2 they would forgive it as long as Im in good standing

no fees for shyt, no hidden charges

I can chat with a live person over my phone/pc, i can deposit check by taking a pic on my phone

seriously I dont get why people stay with banks when they keep having trouble with them

BOA is the worst. Doubt this, but did you ever get your money back for those late fees? If I had to recommend any of the big banks I'd go with Wells Fargo. If you have the right kinds of accounts with them, they pretty much bend over backwards to keep you happy.

Why so many through the same bank?

This

Drives me nuts that my mortgage got sold to BOA, I cannot stand them. I was a bit smuckers over their auto savings account w/ the check card, but I got off my check card to switch to CC.

Yeah I got my money back when I called b/c it was an error on their part with their site. But like i said, they weren't gonna correct it if I didnt call, even though it was their mistake.

It's not my fault. There's no way to set this up on their website, no way to do it at the bank itself, and when trying to call you have to jump thru hoops to get to the right people.

Why so many through the same bank?

Because they offer more point thru BOA and it's easier to pay directly from my checking account.

I agree. Worked there for a clip and there was a period when they needed some revenue to pad these :leostare::skip::beli::win: pockets and decided to change the billing period from 30 to 21 days (or something like that). So customers had like 15 yearly payments (vs. 12) but with an even lower minimum payment. Niccas were in my ear on some :shaq2::wtf: shyt.

shyt, after witnessing and being part of this fukkery (plenty of other examples too), I decided to close my own BOA checking, cancel all CC's with them and quit dat bytch after 6 years. They be on that bullshyt!

that's a damn shame. Only reason I'm still with them is b/c I've never really had any other bank and I havent had any real probs outside of this....however this situation was really annoying and shady.

Be careful with these though. Just because they refund your money for the late fee doesn't mean they didn't jack up your APR in the process. A lot of cards default to the highest APR that is legally allowed once you have any kind of missed or late payment.

Can't be that much easier. Why not less card with higher credit lines?

Just realize that all banks suck and they are not your friend.

Wells Fargo is pretty good but like every other saturday morning, they'll hit me up trying to sell be life insurance or some shyt. :wtf: I'm 22, what would I need that for?

Pick a bank with no monthly fees and stay vigilant.

Which brings me to my next story, these same cacs implemented what they call "contingency" rates whereas u could have a 9.99% APR and if u miss one payment by 1 second, then you rate increases to 24.99%. The fukked up thing is when u call in to inquire about the rate, we would tell u the CC industry as a whole is being "affected" :comeon: and then negotiate with u down to a 15.99% which is a win win for the bank.
