Im actually trying to write a concept for this. I would figure the government would find someway of taking your ass down. They would have lots of prep before they would go to war with you though.

Look what they did in x2(?). They created a all-plastic army who were armed plastic weapons. They even made a plastic prison. If a magneto was in world, i bet for certain they would find some way of taking him down. They would have thinktanks for this. Any and all possible scenarios would apply. As a matter of fact, bc lf his plastic weakness, Magneto is a poor chhoice here. Superman would be a different story though.

that's why I say it would be better to have Xavier level telepathic abilities and do it clandestinely instead of scaring the world through shows of brute force and threats.

sure, you wouldn't have a bunch of folks treating you like you're Bison from Street Fighter, but when you can mentally move people like chess pieces without them knowing it, why would it matter?

you could read people's minds like you're in a library, instantly knowing whatever you wanted to know.

Make people do things and then make them forget they did them or even saw you.
