under homicides click other arguments..

It's pretty clear that most homicides are the result of crimes-of-passion, and the majority of all homicides are the result of gun deaths.

also, it's also evident that Hispanics are unfairly demonized by the media.

It doesn't have a filter for registered and legally purchased guns. That'd make for an interesting statistic seeing how many people are murdered each year by guns bought by people who had to go through the background checks.

it would.

But the fact that most gun crimes are because of emotional states and not premeditated, makes a strong case for gun control, I think. If there wasn't a gun involved, there probably wouldn't be a homicide, just an assault charge.

Hmm, I'm not sure. Maybe end up with a manslaughter charge because of the heat of passion. I just think if someone's gonna kill someone, they're definitely gonna try their damndest. In the cases without the gun though, it might lessen the chance of there actually being a homicide, so I can agree there.

The issue, then, is a mental health issue, not a gun restriction issue. Guns aren't the problem, poor mental health is the problem. Maybe we could divert tax funds into subsidizing mental health care access instead of hiring more police to take away our guns.

You're trying to apply a political solution to a mental health problem. This is probably why our economy is in the gutter: our government wants to apply a political solution to an economic problem.

If there wasn't a gun involved, there probably wouldn't be a homicide, just an assault charge.
In 2010, 16,259 homicides were committed in America.
Out of that, only 11,078 were by firearm.
5,181 non-firearm homicides were committed in America.

if that's the case, you should ban relationships and marriages.

if those trifling hoes wasn't there, there wouldn't be anyone to kill but yourself.
