Unless The Miz is capable of learning Japanese, then his character work is irrelevant since he primarily shows his character through mic-work.

However this is Okada we're talking about. He could carry Dolph Ziggler to a compelling match, but it doesn't mean I'd book that if I had the entire WWE roster at my disposal.

There are a lot of great options. If you want the less creative ones you could go with either Styles, Brock, Cena or Strowman. If you want to be more creative you could put Okada against Cesaro and even a Rollins.

I do understand that Cena vs Tanahashi is the more obvious match to make, so I don't fault anyone for using Cena in that spot instead.
