As far as I understand it, some girl wears a variety of hairstyles over the course of a year some with weave and some without.

Really but why do they choose to use a variety of weaves to protect their natural hair?
Shouldn't one weave be enough?

Why a box full doe? :what:

Well I guess it could depend on the situation. I know a lot of celebrities do ps, because their profession calls for a lot of heat and manipulation of the hair that can cause breakage.
The average everyday girl may do it until they reach the desired length of hair they want to achieve, without having to worry about heat damage and and hair loss from manipulation.

Not sure I understand the question
If you're asking why they don't reuse the same weaves then presumably that's because it's not hygienic and weaves don't grow so any damage mess they sustain is permanent.
