If Triple H's legacy wasn't protected, what would he be known for?

I have been thinking about this, as WWE/Trips didn't do a Stalin-era hype job of what he did, what would he be primarily known for?

If your talking about the Attitude Era/Active WCW era only, in terms of the golden era of WWE, then he was the leader of the DX that at best was a bunch of upper-midcarders (without Michaels).

Now if your going to include post-WCW, I think the McMahon/Helmsley stuff along with Evolution would give more Triple H visibility, but even I would think that Cena would overshadow him along with Taker's WrestleMania streak.

You can't cherry pick his career to try and make a point, it's only fair to include everything until he stopped being an active wrestler. Having said that, his career puts him in the top 10-15 of all time list.

Was Shawn's bag boy, couldn't get over until he feuded with Foley, had 1 decent year, blew his quad out and sucked ever since.

He'd probably have been champ at one point because he did get a small run before he got w/ Steph but his career would probably be closer to Foley

Even without the Stephanie plug he probably would have gotten a push. After Rock, Austin, Taker, it was a toss up between Triple H and Jericho. Triple H was a great heel. Every time I heard "1,2...is this on?" I got mad.
