Cowboys outchea still talking about "potential" for an often injured 35 year old QB who has 2 playoff wins to his resume and multiple game ending picks.

Meanwhile, young Cam Newton in only his fifth year and is going to the Super Bowl and already has more playoff wins than Romo.

Young Russell "SoulGlo" Wilson is also more accomplished than Tony Romo,

Yet coming into the season, people were still talking about whether or not they are "franchise QBs".

If Tony Romo was Troy Robinson would he still be in the league?

Romo has all of the Cowboys passing records, 3 division titles, has been an All-Pro, and youve seen this year how bad this team without him.

He's had multiple chances to get those records though :sas1:

A couple of those season ending picks would have done other "types" of QBs in :sas2:

Kaep has SB Appearance and career defining playoff performances and people question if he belongs in the league.

RG3 was almost as successful as Romo has been throughout his entire career after only his rookie season and he can't get a job :sas1:

Keep pretending that Romo got those #s due to continued excellence :mjlol:

He got those numbers because of opportunity despite many moments when he should have gotten canned.

So I'm lying? There haven't been multiple instances through his tenure as a Cowboy, where a QB of another hue would have gotten done in?

For not being able to "read defenses", for throwing interceptions that "didn't make sense", questioning His intellect and desire to win?

Exactly! Now I'm a Cowboys fan all day and even Romo pissed me off at times with the brain freezes in forth quarters during past games where it's do or die for making playoffs...but to make a post like this just has me SMH.

Do people realize how valuable Romo is to the Cowboys franchise? Last year our back up QB couldn't win a game without him except the first Redskins game (and that was due to Sean Lee and rest of the D). We need Romo badly but I do hope he can remain healthy. His injuries are serious and a bad hit to back/collarbone could take him out. This is why Jerry really need to think about the future and draft a QB so he can learn under Romo while he here.

I was hoping that Jerry and the FO would have built upon the success of the 2014 season. Having a good running game and effective OL did wonders. It made the Boys offense more balanced and less one-dimensional. But of course they let Murray go to a division rival and went away from what's working instead of building on it. Romo said he would've restructured his contract to keep Murray. Now we have so many holes to fill.

If Troy fumbled that snap for that field goal he'd be straight in the CFL
