If racism never existed as an ideology, how advanced would we be?

If race were not an obstacle to getting people admitted into colleges, getting careers, marrying who they wanted etc. If people's opinions were not ignored simply because they were born with a different skin, do you think we would already have advanced technology, political structures and would art be more amazing? Do you think humans would have already been able to realize their potential?

I was just thinking about this while I was watching the Captain America movie. Note how diverse the crew he joins up with appears

I think the fact that the state never officially agreed that 1 group should have more rights than another could account for why technology is so advanced in the marvel movie universe(can't really say for sure when it comes to the comics but I think its the same way)

Sounds like an excuse to not act and an attempt to justify inequality. Also if you go back in history you realize that people exchanged ideas regardless of where the people came from. The Chinese and Arabs for example exchanged navigation techniques or the Greeks and the Egyptians who shared many ideas.

I'm not talking about just Captain America, I'm talking about the marvel universe as a whole and part of the reason why the Germans were advanced was because of the Cosmic cube they found. Without it they may have been on the same or a lower level than the Americans, that's not the point though I was explaining what made me inspired to post this as it would not have been common to see people of Colour in the army getting together so well with whites back then.

How do you account for a nation like the United States which is quite religious being on the same technological level(some could argue even ahead) of many European nations that have a less religious population? or the technological, philosophical and artistic breakthroughs of the ottoman empire? Muslims in the middle ages were far more enlightened than their Christian western European counterparts, and if it were not for them we might actually not have Algebra, the works of Greek philosophers, or many principles of modern medicine.

Religion is a neutral force that can be used to harm or help people. In the right hands, it can advance society and in the wrong hands it can harm it and it is no guarantee of social progress( North Korea, and Soviet Russia were/are regimes dedicated to barring religious practices and taking an official atheistic stand point)

What if you started a company and an Asian dude comes to you with a pitch that makes perfect sense and would make your company more successful and give you an edge over your competition but then you're like "He's asian, who gives a fukk what he has to say? Get this muthafukka outta here "

Equality is not real, it's a made up concept that can only be implemented in fantasy.

ideas have always been exchanged,stolen and copied from civilizations... it hasn't stopped now. the fact the internet exists has promoted the exchange of ideas amongst different peoples.... i mean, that was one of the main intentions of the internet.

and besides, this entire fantasy world on Captain America does not reflect the segregation in the Armed Forces that actually existed at the time....or the detention camps asian americans were placed in during WW2.

shyt, even in real life, the Germans where the most technologically advanced country in the world at that time.
