Y’all LA dudes the main ones flocking to NYC. I legit worked in a building in Manhattan where 80% of the workers were from Cali.
Y’all LA dudes are even bold enough to move here in the middle of the winter
What they want here?

Ray Allen is from South Carolina.....think he was a military brat but I remember reading that he played hs ball in SC.
From the 1980s on....NYC produced a LOT of D1 players, specifically point guards
I think one year several high profile programs started NYC point guards....Smith and UNC, Mark Jackson at St Johns...Pearl Washington at Syracuse
If you look at the guys who are from NYC and/or played high school ball there the list of current HOFs is
Kareem,Tiny Archibald,Connie Hawkins, Bernard King,Chris Mullin,Cousy,Lenny Wilkens
5 of those 7 are legit nba legends
Too many distractions in NYC, young players with potential never develop it ....
Also, NBA has moved away from old school pgs who set the table for other players and espcially the big men...
league is dominated by super athletic point guards who score first....and perimeter players now
$$$$$$*What they want here?
A mecca is a place that attracts people to it - also holds cultural and historical significance..New York is by definition a mecca since its origin. It is literally impossible for it to not be a mecca by significance globally, financially, culturally, economically by progression...I swear some of y'all didn't make it past 8th grade in the pass through rest stops that you call towns.
What they want here?
Those are 5 different cities and when you speak on you're from NYC it's mentioning one of those areas. That's a fact, no other state does that.
It don't matter cause this is your home.
