If not for the accident, I honestly think the D.O.C. would've been the GOAT MC

With tracks like the formula and his verse on the grand finale he was already lyrically up there with top lyricist like rakim, big Daddy Kane, and LL at the time. Combine that with Dre's production you can't tell me he wouldn't have been at least leading the west. Plus I heard that he wrote multiple songs for death row artist and, many of them became hits so longevity and, adaptation shouldn't have been a problem for him. If you think I'm wrong then please tell me how.

Who knows. Look at how steeply the GZA declined after "Liquid Swords" and he didn't lose his voice or anything. Wu-Tang was still popping, but GZA just didn't sound nearly as energized or motivated on his next album after "Liquid Swords".
And who is to say D.O.C wouldn't have fell out with Dre over money, creative control or whatever? Whatever the label Dre was dealing with was offering, another label would have certainly offered him MORE. That's just how it works, Dre would have given him an offer thinking "I'm a big part of your success", and another label would have given him a bigger check and said "You don't need him, plenty of good producers out there". There's no guarantee their partnership would last forever.

Dre and Yella left World Class Wrecking Cru and joined/founded NWA

Cube left CIA to join/found NWA

D.O.C. left Fila Fresh Crew and started working with NWA

Cube split from NWA to go solo

DOC had the accident and lost his voice

NWA split up, with Dre leaving for Death Row

DOC worked as a ghostwriter for Death Row

DOC split from Dre & Death Row and dropped a 2nd album with a fukked up voice, and beats from "Erotic D" :russ:

Dre split from Death Row and started Aftermath

Nothing lasts forever. We can't automatically assume DOC & Dre were going to create 2 or 3 more great albums.

All the things you've stated is true to a degree but, with the potential/talent he had with the right parts around him, I don't see how he couldn't have took over 90's hip hop. Again, all of this is just based on probability.Oh yeah with the GZA situation, I just think he was starting to loose that "hunger" so that's why it didn't pan out the way it did for him. It was going to be very hard for him to out do liquid swords anyway.

I defiantly would say he would have dropped another classic on death row, before leaving because he knew before anyone that Suge was a shark
Knowing the the type of person suge was/is I highly doubt he would have allowed doc to walk away so easily unscathed :usure:

Some people have exactly one classic in them. DOC is one of those dudes. Thats being said, it's as impactful a classic as there ever was because he helped set the template for hip-hop west of the Mississipi and South of the Mason-Dixon.

But seriously i was just listening to no one does it better & that shyt is better than face, rakim & ice cube debut albums :ld:

Of course the production was flawless but lyrically dude was better than cube & face ever was imo & on par with rakim

Maybe not on par but teetering he was definitely on par with all the other goats from that era tho

If you guys didn't know DOC released another album after his car accident with his fukked up voice

The whole theme kinda fits in today's climate because on the whole NWO theme it has

Him and Erotic D were suppose to release albums that talk about the NWO and all that stuff but it never came

He was great, I think he would have been looked at in that Big Daddy Kane type bracket potentially.
