North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
What are the odds of them releasing all of their movies on that platform exclusively?

and what are the odds of other studios following suite?

movie theaters are their bread and butter but with enough streaming subscriptions, I can see studios using that platform exclusively.

At most they will drop their movies on Disney plus soon after their theater run is over. Theaters still have the highest profits for them.

unless they start charging per view...this will likely never happen

they'll never make as much as they have with theaters if they only have strictly streaming releases.

Endgame would not be a billie if it was a VOD or straight to streaming release

or they can sell ad space before the movie starts before the trailers.

they would probably save in marketing as well as ticket sales that go directly to theaters. The gross revenue would be affected negatively but they might have favorable or comparable net profits.

If someone invented anti piracy technology and license it, they would be a billionaire.

I think Disney can get there but they need to produce a fukk ton more new and original content.

And I think Hamilton is a prime example of Disney knowing there are some untapped waters they can use to spread more unique content.

Avengers compound
G ratedass Disney not doing that:hhh:Castlevania, Dark, Lucifer 3 completely different series with all kinds of audiences. Disney cares too much of keeping the family perception to do that. What they're doing is fine anyway :yeshrug:
