What would you all pull from?

What styles, forms , combos, etc...

What's a must have (like boxing, wrestling, knees, judo throws x etc)?

What structure would you use for training?

I'm not talking about a free for all mma whatever type shyt, but a new Modern Formal Style...... in the same fashion that American boxing, tykndo, m thai, krav magra, wing chun, bjj, kyokushin, etc are ForMal styles.

Krav Maga, Ninjitsu, Religion, Vogue Dancing, Snake Handling, Juggling and the Hack-a-Shaq defense.

:ehh:Sounds crazy... but quite formidable.

If someone is dancing around all gay tossing and catching poisonous snakes shouting about Jesus Christ you aren't gonna want any parts of that. Then if you get in close enough to strike or grapple they throw a smoke pellet and wrap around you in the intentional foul stance and disable you with the Krav Maga while the snakes bite you. The last thing you see is them dancing away all fruity.

No one wants to die that way. :mjlol:

(1) Wrestling...If you can be taken down and controlled, it doesn't matter how well you can strike...

(2) Brazilian Jujitsu...If you can take somebody down, and not submit them, then you are the worst kind of fighter...If you are taken down, and you are able to submit somebody from that position, then you are a RARE talent...

(3) Muay Thai...It seems like these people are the best overall strikers in MMA...They have kicks, knees, punches and elbows...

(4) For the first 5 years of training, train for everything, with emphasis on technique and cardio, and compete in specific discipline compete e.g. fight in BJJ only competition, fight in Muay Thai specific competition, and fight in wrestling specific competition...That is from the time a child is 14 or 15 until he is 20...5 years of strength and condition and discipline specific tournaments...

(5) From age 20 and up, start with MMA competition...By this time, only the 3 main disciplines have already been mastered...So, the should be on sharpening and maintaining technique and strength and conditioning (cardio)...

(6) When the boy or girl turns pro, sparring should be LIMITED to once per week 5 6 minutes rounds...Emphasis should be on crisp technique and cardio...All that hardcore training only breaks down the body with minimal returns...

Once you have been fighting for more than 5 years, you already know how to fight, all you have to do is maintain sharp technique and cardio...

Wow. Thanks

And the child is six. I wish it was one of my four sons :francis::upsetfavre:

But it's my daughter :why:

Somehow she's naturally a good fighter. But has a strong slim build... so probably will grow up into the 130lb class.

Get her into dancing (break dancing), it will give her advantage with coordination, flexibility, core strength and fluid movements...

I heard Eddie Bravo and Joe Rogan state that Break dancers who start BJJ are just a step ahead of most people they have trained with, in terms of natural ability and ease of picking up new techniques...

Gymnastics and dancing translate well to other athletic sports...

Boxing is not needed in MMA, I am basing this opinion on all the dominant champs in the UFC e.g. Mighty Mouse, Anderson Silva, Jose Aldo, GSP, Bones Jones

Muay Thai is VERY effective for MMA, especially when being taken down is not a concern (TDD, wrestling and jujitsu)...The only boxing you really need is the Nate Diaz 1 - 2 punches, and that's about it...

You don't need to be the next Mayweather or Tyson to be a dominant MMA fighter...The 1-2 punches is good enough...

Name a boxer who is a dominant champ in the UFC or any MMA organisation for that matter? No disrespect to boxing...It works if you want to defend yourself against the average joe, but a professional MMA fighter will KILL a boxer...

(1) Boxing will give you an advantage for the Average Joe, but not over a professional MMA fighter...A "Michael Jordan" of MMA will DESTROY a "Michael Jordan" of boxing...

(2) Legs are the biggest muscles of the human body...Legs push MUCH MORE weight and generate MUCH MORE force than the arms...A well placed kick to the head is MUCH MORE devastating than a well placed punch to the head...By a VERY significant margin...

This is not an attack on boxing, just science...
