Hogans last few years with wwe before TNA when Hogan and Austin would make an appearance on the same night on say a raw anniversary show hogan always got the biggest pop of the night.
Thats why Austin never wanted that match. Deep down It would hurt him to be outpopped

Here's the thing..look what it took for that to happen. He was gone for what? Almost a decade? If he faced Austin as Hollywood Hogan at his hot point, it would of been pro Austin(1999). The Rock in 2000? Yeah right...he came back after being gone for years to elicit that reaction. It wasn't the same thing at Mania 19 or anything.
