MERCER, Pa. — A man's handgun went off while he was holding it as he got into his truck in the parking lot of a western Pennsylvania gun store Saturday and the shot killed his 7-year-old son, authorities said.

It's a shame the kid had to pay for his dad's stupidity. IDK man I've been handling guns since I was 11 yrs old and I've never had one go off by accident. Everytime I hear stories like this I wonder just what the fukk the person was doing when the gun "went off by itself". Unfortunately the media will probably use this as ammo in their crusade for stricter gun laws.
