Its because a great deal of him winning was due to popular podcasters going to the right. It either made people buy in or tune out of their political leanings.
If a Democrat proposes child food security in schools, there are 20 podcasts with 200 million total views telling you how this is socialism. There are hundreds of radio stations across the US in rural areas saying the same.
They know social media allowed disinformation to win. This is the next step.

Man I can see the battle between real journalists and influencers/streamers now.

Bottom line, there are so many varying opinions that you can find someone who agree with your POV and leave it at that.
