What’s up with the first girl? Various worldwide black people copying our song, our entire flow, verse for verse bar for bar and acting like they made the beat.

I, for one, welcome our new space overlords.
Which ever way a person feels comfortable.

In South Africa, equity/race checklists during job applications or ID descriptions mostly have White, Colored, Indian, Asian and AFRICAN as an option. White South Africans don't call themselves Africans like that, they prefer 'white' living in SA.

Not many want the 'African' tag I've noticed. It comes with poverty and lower class connotations.

Then they must remain that way for life, dont try change later because situations and conditions have changed.

The lady is correct. Jamaicans are Jamaican, Haitians are Haitian, and Black Americans (ADOS/Freedmen) are Black American.

African

Should be
Indigenous South African
Colored
Indian/Asian
White

What's going on in SA where the majority are getting relegated like they aren't truly indigenous to the land? What's up with that all white town, Orania, trying to establish it own currency and barring non-whites from living there?

Apartheid was ended on certain terms. Remember black people didn't fight and defeat the white man to end apartheid. It was just a negotiation. End apartheid but the white man still owns more than 70% of South African land. Meaning farming and housing is still making them money. All the platinum, gold and coal mines are still owned by whites. The white man still owns the means of production. All official documents are still in Afrikaans together with English (no Bantu language).

Yeah there's 'freedom', but they made sure they'll eat for generations.

Places like Orania do exist, where the white folks have 'code' not to give land or sell houses to black folks. Not officially stated of course but you won't find black folks there.

I mean, the country's rich as f**k and should be top 10 richest in the world by minerals alone. But it's being hoarded and the folks that hoard it and media are friends with the 'right countries'. So you'll never hear much being said about these things. On reports of a South African white farmer being killed here and there.

If Mandela had given back land and mines, we would be like Zimbabwe or Venezuela. We would have been isolated and removed from the world economy.

I think a lease agreement would have been better, similar to what Britain did to hongkong or Portugal did with Macau with China. Something along the lines of all the property held by nonnative South Africans would be leased to them , and requireing fines for renewal or a long term percentage yield being redistrubuted to natives.

In such a case , the wealth would at least be partially transfered to natives in a way that eurpeans are familiar with.

Jamaicans and Haitians have Statehood, Black Americans sadly do not.
Having your own Republic even if dirt poor is psychologically different to being in someone else's and that may explain some of the percieved arrogance.

Africans generally view the diaspora in the Carribean as just other African nationalities, but that's not intended not negate the Carribeans own culture and identity. They just recognize them as fellow Black people same as the rest on the vast continent..same as Europeans see White Americans and Canadians as kith and kin.
Haiti was set to join the African Union as a member but the US objected and made threats given that Haiti is in the western hemisphere and what the US considers its area of influence.
You have to also take note that during Africa's post colonial period, the Black liberation movement relied on traditional freedom songs but the new accessible pro Black/African message in 70s Reggae took hold and endeared a whole continent to Jamaicans, and told Africans we're all one.
The Jamaicans, Africans, Barbadians, Trinis etc were all under the British and French system so that creates a similar bond as opposed to Black people in the US who were under a very different but equally hellish system. Hence why you find Afro Carribean summits emerging.

As for South Africa that is an old apartheid classification.

I usually find Black people these days who have problems with seeing Black nationalities at work together want to somehow be the Kings and Queens of all Blacks. Whether its Some Jamaicans, Nigerians or Americans when you dont bow down to their false sense of superiority they get offended and the diaspora wars start.
