CDPR have already confirmed they are getting to work on the next witcher and eventually cyberpunk (in the year 2037 maybe?) but how would you realistically want them to continue the story?

Same V or a new story, new city, and new V? If another location where would you want to go? I feel like it’d be cool if the old V was a fixer now and you took jobs from them

What if the next Cyberpunk game is a prequel and the protagonist is Morgan Blackhand :manny:

That would kind of be cool, if you could actually be a rocker boy or whatever, lean heavier into the retro future stuff.

It's interesting the creator Mike Pondsmith told CDPR to not include Morgan Blackhand in CP2077.

Apparently, Pondsmith is still creating the narrative for Morgan Blackhand.

Doesn't have to be a prequel. There are some subtle hints throughout 2077 that Blackhand is still active he's just changed tactics (kinda like how Rogue went from doing the work to giving out the jobs). Pondsmith told CDP not to use him for this first game iirc.

My guess is they use Blackhand (if Pondsmith okays it) but he'll be the sequels version of Johnny. Some kinda mentor/voice in your head. I don't expect sequel to take place outside of NC either, there's no place else like it in Cyberpunk setting. Everywhere else in the world basically on a tight corpo leash or just a literal shyt hole. I expect them to just try to push NC to be more vibrant and alive.

I bet tokyo would be kind of interesting, it would be completely controlled by Arasaka though

Honestly, at that point we're in a post-GTA6 landscape. The game should have another celebrity special guest and realistically if they're gonna reuse Night City, a prequel would be best. The origins of the Unification War and NUSA is probably a good place to start. If GTA is recreating half of Florida then realistically multiple cities would be nice. These guys know what they're doing though, they just need to take their time, focus, and keep it simple in regards to production. Playstation/Xbox & PC. No Switch 2 and no goddam Multiplayer

No more quest map marker type shyt. We off that. Figure out a new sort of way to do the open world thing. Build it into the cybernetics or something. I just don't want to look at a map and see all these points of interest and shyt. We need to be off that.

If you want to go more into the RPG route than you need to build out choices and consequences on a deeper level. The game has an illusion of choice but ultimately you end up in the same place which is fine for a more action type game but if you want to make it an RPG they need to level up here.
