Chamberz (real name Duval Chamberlain) claims in the suit that Ice Spice and her producer RiotUSA could have heard his version of the song as he worked as a DJ in New York and that “In That Mood” also received radio play in the city.

At the time of writing, “In Ha Mood” has almost 170 million streams on Spotify and its video has 45 million view on YouTube. Ice Spice also performed the song on Saturday Night Live last year.

The 24-year-old has yet to respond to the lawsuit, though there are some similarities between the two tracks including their beat and rhyme structure.

Ice Spice has had a rapid rise to fame since dropping her debut single “Munch (Feelin’ U)” in 2022 which quickly went viral on TikTok.

She was the second most Googled musician in all of 2023, behind controversial country star Jason Aldean.

This man’s song did not receive radio play in NY and I never heard of him

He has been doing music for 20 years trust he has met everyone and every DJ in NY has his music. He hasn't ever broken through but he has connections.

Even if it did happen, I don't think this stuff always happens on purpose.

Never heard of this man in my life.

His song has 10,000 views in a year and it sounds nothing like Ice Spice song.

All I’m hearing is they both have hooks that use the word mood.
