"This week, Ice Cube pulled up and shared his Furious Five favorite L.A. anthems on LL COOL J’s Rock The Bells Radio.
A staple in L.A. Hip-Hop since the late 80s when he blasted onto the scene with N.W.A., Cube has dropped some of the most definitive albums of all time, including N.W.A.'s self-titled debut, as well as his solo projects, Amerikkka's Most Wanted and Death Certificate. And that doesn't even touch his work with Westside Connection and his most recent supergroup, Mount Westmore.
A bonafide L.A. (and Hip-Hop) legend, check out Ice Cube's five favorite L.A. anthems below.
#1 - "6 N' the Mornin'" - Ice-T
"This is an L.A. anthem, this is the jump off," Cube says. "This let people that the Hip-Hop in L.A. was real and the streets in L.A. were real."

"It was instructions on how to survive on these L.A. streets," Cube says of his 1991 hit, which was featured on the Boyz N the Hood soundtrack, in which he also starred.

"It's just an L.A. anthem," Cube says. "I loved this record when it came out and I love it every time I hear it."

"It was just crazy," Cube says. "That's the L.A. anthem that everybody loves all over the world."
