Not really. I came from the Midwest. My rent increased by $900 but my take home pay went up by $4000. It's worth it.
You got entry level phlebotomists making $35 per hour in San Francisco. In Indianapolis, they are making $18 if they're lucky.
Of course, coupling up also helps alot. Get you a smart lady and build.
