I want a samsung tv to recognize the files on a 4tb external hdd, what do I do?

Apparently I need to convert it to mbr, but its going to cut my 4tb hdd to 2tb. Is there a way to just partition 2 2tb mbr drives or is there a media player that will make this easy?

you gotta get a free converter. If you got the money get wondershare converter, it can do batch files.. just add it and come back and put it on usb then transfer to TV.

No, I meant a physical media player that u can connect to a tv and then hook a hdd to it.

What are the files encoded in? Mkv, Avi, mp4.? My Samsung TV plays then all.

If you're looking for a digital media player they are out there. Alternatively if you have a old laptop you can stream from there.
